Terms of Service

Last updated October 2026

DPT Den is operated by DPTDEN LLC, an Illinois limited liability company (referred to here as "DPT Den," "we," "us," or "our"). These terms are a plain-language policy written by our own team, not a template pulled from elsewhere. By using DPT Den, you agree to them; if you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What DPT Den is

DPT Den is a study and planning tool for the physical therapy career path: program rankings, a fit calculator, an exercise library, a special tests reference, board-prep questions, a tutoring directory, and continuing-education tracking. It's a study aid, not clinical guidance, admissions guidance, or a substitute for advice from your school, program, or professional licensing board.

Accounts

  • One account per person. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.
  • Provide accurate information, particularly your career stage, so the tools work as intended.
  • Signing in unlocks the full site. There are no paid tiers today.

Program & content accuracy

  • Program rankings, tuition figures, cohort sizes, admissions information, and outcomes data are compiled from available sources and may become outdated, contain errors, or be incomplete. Always verify important information directly with the relevant program before making an admissions or financial decision.
  • The fit calculator produces an educational estimate based on the numbers you enter. It doesn't predict an actual admissions decision, and DPT Den has no affiliation with any program's admissions committee. Verify your specific chances and requirements directly with the schools you're applying to.
  • Board-prep questions and the timed exam mode are practice tools we wrote for study purposes, not official NPTE questions, and DPT Den isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the FSBPT. Any pass/fail threshold shown is DPT Den's own benchmark for practice purposes, not the NPTE's official scaled-score cutoff.
  • Special tests, exercises, and other clinical content reflect general practice and are provided for educational and study purposes only. They're not clinical guidance, don't constitute medical advice, and should never replace clinical judgment, supervision, or your program's curriculum.

Prohibited use

Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, spam, impersonate another person, or attempt to disrupt the service.

Tutors, coffee chats & other third parties

The tutoring directory and coffee-chat directory list people we've brought on; if you request to connect with someone through DPT Den, the actual tutoring or conversation happens between you and them, outside the platform. We don't guarantee any tutor's or student's qualifications, availability, or conduct, and we don't guarantee outcomes from working with them, including admission results, grades, employment, licensing exam results, or clinical competence.

Content you submit

You're responsible for the information you enter into DPT Den, like your profile details or continuing-education log entries. You keep ownership of what you submit; by submitting it, you give us permission to host, store, and display it back to you as necessary to run the service. DPT Den doesn't currently have a public posting or profile feature, so content you submit isn't shown to other users.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on DPT Den infringes your copyright, email admin@dptden.com with (1) a description of the copyrighted work, (2) the location of the material on the site, (3) your contact information, and (4) a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized. We'll review and respond to good-faith notices consistent with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Intellectual property

The DPT Den name, logo, site design, original written content, software, and graphics are ours. Program and catalog data compiled from outside sources remains subject to the rights of its original source and is provided here for personal study use.

Third-party content & links

Some pages load content from third-party services we use to run the site, like video hosted through Bunny.net in the exercise library. We don't control that third-party infrastructure and aren't responsible for its availability or content.

Advertising

DPT Den displays ads served through Google AdSense and may participate in Google Ads. These ads are provided by Google and its advertising partners, not by us; we don't control which ads you see and don't vouch for any advertiser's claims, products, or services. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out of personalized ads.

Changes to the service

DPT Den is a small, evolving project. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including ones you've come to rely on.

Disclaimer of warranties

DPT Den is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is complete or current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DPT Den isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold DPT Den harmless from claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these terms, your unlawful use of the site, or your violation of another person's or entity's rights.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these terms, misusing the service, or for other legitimate security or operational reasons. You can stop using DPT Den at any time.

Dispute resolution

Before filing a claim against DPT Den, please try to resolve it informally by emailing us with a description of the issue. If it isn't resolved within 30 days, and to the extent enforceable under applicable law, any dispute arising from these terms or your use of DPT Den will be settled by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. There's no right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. If this arbitration agreement is found unenforceable in your jurisdiction, disputes will instead be resolved in the courts identified below.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not subject to the arbitration clause above will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.

Changes to these terms

We'll update the date above when these terms change.
